history
The one and two-storey late Classicist villa from 1878 was built as a “modest” residential building in the historicist era by the architect and contractor Bolte. In 1927 a major renovation of the house was carried out by the Evangelical Church of Horn .
Currently (2017) the former rectory is used by several non-profit organizations:
- The North German Mission has its office here.
- The Fluchtraum Bremen association, founded in 2004, offers help (guardianship, advice, information, training, contacts, language courses, free time, costs) for young refugees in Bremen. Various cooperation partners were involved. Funding comes u. a. from the Senator for Social Affairs, Youth, Women, Integration and Sport and from the European Union as well as the district initiative “together good!” of the Sparkasse Bremen .
- The association Refuge - Ecumenical Work with Foreigners works closely with the Bremen Evangelical Church and the Horn parish.
