Parish church Brunn im Felde
The parish church of Brunn im Felde is located in the village of Brunn im Felde in the Gedersdorf municipality in the Krems-Land district in Lower Austria . The Roman Catholic parish church consecrated to St. James the Elder belongs to the dean's office in Krems in the diocese of St. Pölten . The church is a listed building ( list entry ).
history
The late Gothic choir has been preserved. The church was a branch of the parish church in Haitzendorf until the 16th century and was thus incorporated into the Herzogenburg Abbey. In 1783 Brunn im Felde was elevated to a parish and the nave and tower were rebuilt.
architecture
The Josephinische Saalkirche has a set west tower stands in a cemetery. The late Gothic choir has been preserved. The nave shows itself with pilaster strips and supporting pillars. The tower in the western front between the sloping gable has an onion helmet.
Furnishing
The high altar is a late Baroque column retable with a segmental arch top and a blown gable from the end of the 18th century.
The organ was built by Franz Capek in 1928. Balthasar Heroldt cast a bell in 1673. Franz Josef Scheichel cast a bell in 1778.
