history

The church, which was essentially Gothic, was redesigned in Baroque style after 1659. The church became a parish church in 1784. In 1902 the church received a roof turret.

architecture

The nave is essentially Gothic and has a profiled shoulder arch portal from the 15th century in a younger porch on the south side. The baroque reconstruction shows itself with faceted round arch openings and with a simple gable facade with a renewed local stone framing. At the porch of the portal there is a figure niche with a figure of St. Florian from 1906. The choir is drawn in, closed on three sides and reinforced on the north side with a baroque retaining wall. The choir shows itself with pressed pointed arched windows and a figure niche with the figure of St. Maria from the 19th century at the end of the choir. The roofs over a surrounding cornice are covered with roof tiles. To the south of the choir is an extension as a sacristy and oratory. A former cemetery cross is marked 1842.

The interior of the church shows a baroque room under a flat ceiling on perhaps later arcade templates and with a stone slab floor. The three-axis arched organ loft stands on pressed pillar arcades. The triumphal arch is slightly retracted and pressed into a pointed arch. The two-bay choir has a steep, sharp-edged cross vault from the renovation in 1672, on the south side there is a beveled shoulder arch portal to the sacristy under an oratory opening in a former window mantle.

The stained glass in the choir shows the saints Leopold and Klemens Maria Hofbauer from 1910.

Furnishing

The high altar from 1802 by Bockfuß is classical.

The organ was built by Ferdinand Molzer in 1933.
