The Roman Catholic parish church Ebreichsdorf is located in Ebreichsdorf in the municipality of Ebreichsdorf in Lower Austria . The parish church of St. Andreas belongs to the deanery Weigelsdorf in the vicariate Unter dem Wienerwald in the archdiocese of Vienna . The church and the cemetery wall are under monument protection .

history

A church was mentioned in a document in 1120. In 1313 Traiskirchen became a branch church. In 1320 the church became a parish church. After the Hungarian invasion in 1474, the church was rebuilt. 1500 was damage after an earthquake with a renovation and the erection of the cemetery wall and the crypt for Hieronymus Beck von Leopoldsdorf . In 1721 the church was donated again as a parish church and restored. In 1909 the lords of the castle Drasche-Wartinberg were given patronage . During a restoration, the Romanesque stone wall of the nave was exposed.

architecture

The essentially Romanesque Gothic church building without buttresses has a slightly retracted choir with a five-eighth end under a hipped roof and a baroque west tower.
