history

The church was initially a branch of Kirchberg am Wagram. A parish was mentioned in a document before 1590. The Gothic church building was rebuilt in early Baroque style in 1697. In 1962 the church was demolished due to its dilapidation, the tower and the choir were preserved. The new building was carried out with the architect Johann Petermair (1963) essentially as a reconstruction of the baroque predecessor church and received a generous extension in the north with a north chapel under a high asymmetrical saddle roof.

Furnishing

On the former high altar, the high altar sheet shows Margaretha and the upper picture shows the Trinity, painted by Martin Johann Schmidt (around 1786). The popular altar with a relief and the tabernacle was created by Viktor Hammer (1963).
