Hans Petermair
Hans (Johann) Petermair (born May 24, 1904 in Vienna ; † March 9, 1984 in Vienna ) was an Austrian architect and preservationist.
Life
After completing secondary school and graduating from high school, Petermair studied architecture at the Technical University (dissertation 1934). He then worked in the studio of his former teacher Karl Holey . With his fellow student Richard Pfob, he founded an office community that mainly dealt with industrial and commercial buildings, and was also active in this sense during the Second World War. After the war, Petermair was busy with the reconstruction, the restoration of castles, palaces and country houses, but above all with the construction of churches. He was buried at the Vienna Central Cemetery .
