Rodaun Parish Church
The Rodaun parish church is a Roman Catholic church in the 23rd district of Liesing in Vienna . It is dedicated to the feast of the Assumption of Mary.
history
After the Second World War, Rodaun experienced a huge settlement boom due to the large number of new community apartments. The new buildings were located far from the center of the village at that time (around the mountain church ) near the Liesing . Therefore, on May 27, 1952, a piece of land for a new parish center was purchased near the new settlements.
On October 10, 1954, the new church was consecrated according to plans by Johann Petermair as a branch of the mountain church, but on December 22, 1964 it was raised to a separate parish.
