history

On September 20, 1908, the foundation stone was laid for the monastery church planned by Theodor Ruf for the order of the Redemptorists . The church was consecrated on May 29, 1909.

Due to lack of money and a lack of young people, the monastery had to close down and the monastery building had to be sold. The Archdiocese of Vienna acquired the church and made it a parish church in 1996.

In 1999 and 2000 the church building was renovated inside and out, with the altar, ambo and baptismal font being renewed.
