The parish church Inzersdorf-Neustift is a Roman Catholic church in the 23rd  district of Liesing in Vienna and is located at Don-Bosco-Gasse 14. It is consecrated to Maria, Hilfe der Christisten.

history

Due to lively settlement activity around the Neustift district in the Inzersdorf municipality, Cardinal Piffl suggested the construction of a church in 1927. On December 20, 1931, the emergency church was inaugurated according to plans by the architect Hans Prutscher . On November 1, 1939, the pastoral care station was raised to an independent parish and looked after by the Salesians of Don Bosco .

From 1941 to 1945, the church had to be handed over to the National Socialist People's Welfare and served as a feeding room. During this time, a small chapel on Triester Straße served as a church service room. On April 11, 1945 the Salesians were able to move into the church again. In 1948 the church tower, designed by Josef Vytiska , was built. After a fire accident in 1949, as a result of the necessary restorations, the ceiling was raised and a side aisle with two side entrances was added.

In 1998 there were major changes on the occasion of a renovation. The church axis was rotated 90 degrees and the chancel was moved back into the first third of the old nave. The rear wall of the new presbytery was moved outwards by about 2 meters and provided with floor-to-ceiling windows on both sides. On September 27, 1998, the renewed church was blessed by Monsignor Michael Wilhelm.
