The parish church Wildendürnbach is located in the community Wildendürnbach in the Mistelbach district in Lower Austria . The Roman Catholic parish church consecrated to St. Peter belongs to the deanery Laa-Gaubitsch in the vicariate Unter dem Manhartsberg of the Archdiocese of Vienna .

history

After 1200 a vicariate of the parish church Falkenstein was named for Wildendürnbach and after 1400 a separate parish was named. In 1971 the old parish church was demolished and built from 1972 to 1974 according to the plans of the architect Hans Petermair and consecrated in 1974 by Archbishop-Coadjutor Franz Jachym .

architecture

The broad reinforced concrete structure over a cross-shaped floor plan is filled with clinker masonry. The free-standing tower stands in the west.

The interior of the church has an open roof. The concrete glass window painting in the apse and in the transept was done by the painter Heinrich Tahedl .

Furnishing

The sculptor Gottfried Fuetsch created a carving group of Christ and two apostles.

Johann Caspar Hofbauer named a bell in 1778.
