Building description

The small Gothic building was first mentioned in 1449. The pillar vestibule, built around 1830/40, is wood paneled and open to the south. A wooden roof turret with a pointed gable helmet rises above the center of the nave . At the transition from the nave to the choir, the building is supported by a single stepped buttress . To the north of the nave is a sacristy with a late Gothic window. There is one pointed arch window on each of the two nave walls and three in the choir polygon. The church is entered through a drafted, late Gothic pointed arch portal.

A flat wooden ceiling stretches over the nave. From the north wall of the nave, a pointed arched, late Gothic portal leads into the sacristy. The wooden west gallery was built around 1830/40. A pointed triumphal arch framed on both sides connects the nave with the choir. The two-week choir with a 3/8 end is the same width as the nave. The former reticulated ridge vault with fluted wall templates with octagonal services was changed in the vaults with stitch caps. On the south wall in the eastern yoke is a pointed gable sacrament niche.

In 1967, wall paintings from the second quarter of the 15th century were uncovered on the north wall. They show the procession of the three kings , the adoration of the kings and the last supper .

Facility

The main altar was created by Hieronymus Wirth in 1780 and taken by Johann Rudolf in 1782. The middle picture shows the descent of the Holy Spirit. The side figures, the plague saints Sebastian and Rochus were carved by Johann Mayer. Other furnishings include an olive relief from the 16th century, a painting of Mary and Child in the rural late baroque style and a small baptismal font from the first half of the 19th century. The organ was probably created by Alois Hörbinger around 1840.
