history

A church was mentioned in a document in 1224. In 1617 it was officially united with St. Stefan am Walde, and in 1633 the parish became independent again. The parish was owned by the St. Florian Monastery until 1682 and then went to the Diocese of Passau until 1791. The church was rebuilt from 1712 to 1716 with Johann Michael Prunner . The northern extension was built from 1976 to 1980, at the same time a restoration was carried out.

architecture

The nave and choir walls as well as the basement of the south tower have been preserved from the late Gothic church building around 1500.

Furnishing

The high altar, built by Simon Raweder in 1906/1909, has been preserved from the former neo-Romanesque altar furnishings; it was restored in 1998.
