The castle Piberstein was first documented in 1285, the main castle was built with a possibly older residential tower in the 13th and 14th centuries. The interior work dates from the 15th and 16th centuries, the late medieval bailey was partially renewed by 1600. The castle began to fall into disrepair in the second half of the 18th century, and restoration and restoration measures began in the 1960s.

The Helfenberg parish church goes back to a late Gothic building, from which the nave and choir walls and parts of the tower have been preserved. Between 1712 and 1716 Johann Michael Prunner redesigned the church in baroque style. Only the high altar by Simon Raweder has survived from the previously uniform, neo-Romanesque furnishings; the side altars have been replaced by pictures with flanking, baroque figures.

The Helfenberg Castle is a Renaissance castle and park landscape west of Helfenberg. The complex was built high above the town and was mentioned in a document as early as 1227. The current, hook-shaped building forms the remainder of a former four-wing Renaissance complex, which was built in 1607 as the successor to the desolate medieval castle. The east wing forms an independent, two-story residential building, the north wing has a gate with a gate tower.

The former citizen's hospital was built around 1830 and was used in this function until around 1900. Between 1960 and 1988 it served as an office building. The two- and three-storey building with a pinned hipped roof has a facade structured by trickle plaster and plaster frames; there is an outside staircase in front of the rectangular portal.

The Gasthof zur Grünen Linden was the estate tavern of the Piberstein lordship. The building dates in parts from the 16th century, with renovations being carried out in the second quarter of the 18th century and 1930. The two-storey corner building has a facade with plaster frame structure from the first renovation period, on the north side there is a picture of the Virgin Mary with a high water mark .
