The Romanesque core (nave walls) of the four-bay parish church dates from around 1200, although the nave was vaulted over wall pillars in the 15th century in the late Gothic style. The Gothic choir also dates from the 15th century, the exterior of the church and the Gothic tower were made Baroque in the first half of the 18th century. Outside at the end of the choir, the cross chapel with crucifixion group and wrought iron grille was built around 1720, below is a charnel house.

The grave chapel of the Schallenbergers (1340/41) was redesigned in Baroque style in 1631 and consecrated to St. Joseph. Secularized in 1780, it served as a school from 1793 to 1953, then for residential purposes. Since the restoration in 1975 it has been used as a mortuary. Renovations in 1993 and 2018.

The rectory was built between 1715 and 1735, probably according to plans by Jakob Prandtauer, as a two-storey, late Baroque building with a stepped hipped roof. The building, which is connected to the cemetery by an ascending corridor, has a gabled central axis, a grooved ground floor facade and a pilaster structure on the building corners and the longitudinal fronts.

The two-storey Josef Eidenberger Museum with a pinned hipped roof was built between 1712 and 1718 as a Kaplanstöckl, including older components, and served as the home and workplace of the painter and graphic artist Josef Eidenberger (1899–1991). The facades were accentuated by means of corner pilasters and eaves, the windows have baroque window baskets.

The two-storey sacristan's house to the west of the churchyard dates back to the third third of the 17th century and is a hook-shaped building with a hipped roof, plastered facade and baroque rectangular portal.

The baroque Marian column on the market square consists of a high column with an Ionic capital and festoons as well as a figure of Maria Immaculata from the 1st quarter of the 18th century. The base is marked with the year 1781 .

The troad box from the 18th century was moved to the western outskirts in 1988/89. It is a block building with a crooked roof, outside stairs and a boarded balcony.

The Johanneskapelle on the western edge of Niederwaldkirchen was rebuilt in 1943 and houses a figure of Saint Johannes Nepomuk on the original base, which is marked with the year 1761 .
