The forester's house Holzschlag was built between the middle and the third quarter of the 19th century over an older core as a two-story building with a hipped roof by Schlägl Abbey .

The parish church Mariae Himmelfahrt goes back to a mess chapel that was built between 1885 and 1890. The current hall building with a gable roof and recessed choir with a 3/8 end and a hipped roof was built between 1949 and 1955 according to plans by Hans Foschum . The church also includes a mighty tower with an onion roof.

The gable chapel in Holzschlag was built between 1876 and 1877 in the historicist style. It has an apse with a gable roof as well as a gable turret with a bell and a pointed helmet.
