Hans Foschum
Hans Foschum (born May 20, 1906 in Schneiderschlag near Oberplan ( South Bohemia ), † November 19, 1956 in Linz ) was a Bohemian - Austrian architect .

Hans Foschum was born on May 20, 1906 in Schneiderschlag near Oberplan as the son of a senior teacher. After attending grammar school in Krumlov and studying at the German Technical University in Brno (Dipl.-Ing.), He was employed by the Krumlov City Building Office from 1933.
From 1938 he joined the Upper Austrian regional building department in Linz . From 1943 until the end of the war Foschum was in the armed forces , from 1948 again an official of the Upper Austrian regional building department in Linz, most recently chief building officer and head of the project planning department. Projects such as B. the children's hospital Linz, extension of the regional court Linz , higher regional court Linz , weaving school Haslach, children's health center Gmundnerberg and Realgymnasium Schärding. Since 1946 Foschum was a member of the Diocesan Council of the Diocese of Linz .
His work mainly includes church buildings, such as the Friedenskirche in Linz (together with Peter Behrens , Alexander Popp and Hans Feichtlbauer ), the parish church in Klaffer am Hochficht or the Marienkirche in Untergeng . Foschum prepared the building plans for the Molln- Breitenau chaplain church free of charge.
Foschum died on November 19, 1956 in Linz and was buried there.
