The Roman Catholic parish church Hofkirchen is in the municipality of Hofkirchen im Mühlkreis in the Rohrbach district in Upper Austria . The St. The parish church consecrated to Ulrich belongs to the dean's office in Sarleinsbach in the diocese of Linz . The church is a listed building .

History and architecture

The church was rebuilt after a fire in 1636 and finally rebuilt from 1716 to 1739 with the inclusion of the Gothic tower in baroque form.

The three-bay, late-baroque hall church with half a front bay in front of the mighty west tower has a two-bay rectangular choir and a two-storey, south-facing extension that serves as a sacristy or oratory.

Furnishing

The church has high-quality church furnishings from the time it was built. The main altar with the picture of St. Ulrich comes from the Sarleinsbach painter Johann Philipp Ruckerbauer (1727) and has a representation of Maria Immaculata as the upper picture. The neo-renaissance choir stalls were made by Anton Sigl (1910).
