Johann Philipp Ruckerbauer
Johann Philipp Ruckerbauer (* 8. February 1663 in Sarleinsbach , Upper Austria , † 1. July 1740 ) was an Austrian Baroque - painter .
Johann Philipp Ruckerbauer was born the son of a butcher in Sarleinsbach and grew up in rather poor circumstances. The Passau Cardinal Prince-Bishop Johann Philipp von Lamberg promoted the artistically very talented Ruckerbauer. He was mainly active in the Mühlviertel , but also elsewhere; He painted six side altar leaves in 1699 in the Ranshofen Collegiate Church, and also for the St. Florian Monastery .
