The parish church Klamm am Semmering stands in the valley floor below the castle ruin Klamm in the hamlet of Klamm in the municipality of Breitenstein in the Neunkirchen district in Lower Austria . The patronage of the Roman Catholic parish church is dedicated to Martin von Tours , it belongs to the Deanery Gloggnitz in the vicariate Unter dem Wienerwald of the Archdiocese of Vienna . The church and the adjacent cemetery are under monument protection ( list entry ).

history

The parish of Klamm am Semmering was first mentioned in 1146, a pastor in 1202/03. The initial patronage of St. Stefan was in the 16th century on St. Martin turned around. The seat of the parish has been in Schottwien since 1970 .

architecture

The essentially Romanesque church with Gothic and Baroque alterations and additions consists of a hall with a flat ceiling, a north tower and three east-facing choirs.
