history

A parish was mentioned in documents in 1330 and 1784. The Gothic church from the 14th century received a baroque tower over a western porch in 1681. From 1972 the church was restored.

architecture

The choir and nave show stepped buttresses, in the west, in the transition to the slightly expanded baroque vestibule, the sloping Gothic buttresses have been preserved. The southern nave wall shows partly exposed Gothic brickwork.

The interior of the church has a three-bay nave and a retracted single - bay choir with a five-eighth section under cross ribbed vaults on deeply drawn-down, double grooved and capped ribs. The retracted triumphal arch is rounded. The organ gallery is vaulted with a transverse barrel. The glass windows were created by Hermann Bauch (1975), along with figural glazing, around 1910.

Furnishing

The high altar is a redesign with a free-standing canteen and tabernacle. There are baroque wooden angel figures from the 18th century.

A statue of the Madonna from the end of the 15th century stands on the apse wall.

The organ was built by Johann M. Kauffmann (1952). Leonhard Löw mentions a bell in 1644. Joachim Gross mentions a bell in 1689.
