The parish church Lacken is in the village of Lacken in the market town of Feldkirchen an der Donau in the Urfahr-Umgebung district in Upper Austria . The Roman Catholic parish church , consecrated on the feast of Maria Hilf - incorporated into the St. Florian monastery - belongs to the dean's office of St. Johann am Wimberg in the diocese of Linz .
history
As early as 1910 the first plans for the construction of a church in Lacken were made, which were not realized due to lack of financial means. In 1929 the decision was made to build a church, which was built from 1930 to 1933 according to plans by master builder Johann Weixelbaumer and consecrated by Prelate Vinzenz Hartl of St. Florian Monastery. 1942 rose Bishop Josephus Calasanz Fließer lacquers for cooperator - Expositur , the same year the church was incorporated the Abbey of St. Florian. In 1952/1953 the church was enlarged and in 1961 a bell tower was added. In 1997 a new cemetery was established and inaugurated in Lacken. In 2010, at the request of the parish, the affiliation of the Deanery Gallneukirchen to the Deanery St. Johann am Wimberg was changed. The church stood until 2015 under monument protection ( list entry ).
architecture
A retracted polygonal choir adjoins the nave, and a sacristy and a chapel are built on to the southeast. To the west is a high tower, open on the ground floor with a wide arch. The facade shows a plaster frame structure over a broken stone base. The main building has arched windows. The rectory, built in 1955, southwest of the church, is connected to the church with a gate wall.
The nave shows itself inside as a wide room with a deep west gallery and a wide round arched triumphal arch. The figural stained glass window Adoration of Mariae by farmers, Annunciation on the left, Golden Gate on the right, in the choir was created by Alfred Stifter (1931).
