Alfred Stifter

Alfred Stifter (* 1904 in Linz ; † 2003 ) was an Austrian art teacher and glass artist .

Live and act

Stifter is considered to be a pioneer for the renewal of religious art in Upper Austria , where he worked extensively as an artist and art teacher. This included his involvement in puppetry as well as teaching for kindergarten teachers and middle schools . His studio was in Schlierbach Abbey .

The artist is the father of Georg and Wolfgang Stifter .
