Georg Stifter (born July 8, 1940 in Linz ) is an Austrian art teacher , university teacher , graphic artist , painter and object artist .

Live and act

From 1961 to 1966, Stifter studied graphics and painting at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna . a. with Maximilian Melcher and Christian Ludwig Martin . From 1970 until he retired in 2000, he taught art and craft education at the Federal Education Academy in Upper Austria . He lives and works in Ottensheim and is a member of the Upper Austrian Art Association , the Zülow Group and the Schloss Parz artist group . A number of his works are in the art collection of the province of Upper Austria.

Since 1965, Stifter has been showing his works in solo and group exhibitions, symposia and art fairs at home and abroad, but mostly in Upper Austria or in the context of exhibitions by the Upper Austrian Art Association.
