The Mühlviertler Heimatblätter (1961 to 1982) and the Mühlviertler Kulturzeitschrift (1982 to 1994) were Upper Austrian literary magazines that were initially published six times and then four times a year by the Mühlviertel artists' guild in Linz .

description

Although space should be given to every art right from the start, the editorial team initially preferred traditional and sometimes very conservative content.

In addition to literature, the areas of architecture , regional history , handicrafts and fine arts were also given equal consideration. An empathic approach to different aspects of the region was achieved while avoiding petty-mindedness and narrow-mindedness.

From 1979 the literary part increased and the content became more open and critical, which is what the change of the name in 1982 stood for.

The response to the opening of the borders was somewhat delayed with bilingual editions, and in 1994 the magazine was discontinued immediately after the switch to a modern layout.

In 1979, Peter Ratzenböck reorganized the content, and an editorial community was formed which, in addition to Ratzenböck, also included Günther Kleinhanns and Richard Wall , and later Herbert Friedl , Herbert Vorbach and Jutta Skokan .

After the magazine had been self- published for many years, in 1972 the involvement of Upper Austria. Landesverlages, a significant improvement in print quality and layout can be achieved, with only the title page being designed in color.

The Mühlviertel artists' guild renamed itself to the Zülow Group in 2001 after its founding president Franz von Zülow .
