Jutta Skokan

Jutta Skokan (born December 12, 1943 in Lambach ) is an Austrian author and cultural mediator .

Live and act

After graduating from commercial school , Skokan initially worked for the Upper Austrian State Publishing House in Linz . She then became a freelance communication trainer, trained as a cultural manager as well as social and life counselor and was active with her own cultural association from 1990. Skokan taught culture and congress management at the HTL Steyr and also worked on various festivals and cultural magazines.

She is the organizer of the annual Upper Austrian Cultural Notes Symposium and the literary festival Sprechtage Wels . In 1994 she was editor-in-chief of the Mühlviertler Kulturzeitung for a short time after having worked in the editorial community for a long time. She is also a member of the Graz authors' assembly .

From 1999 to 2018 she was the artistic director of the Salzkammergut Festival Weeks in Gmunden .
