history

The new church was built according to the plans of the architect Ernst Hiesmayr and consecrated in 1967. The priest and art historian Günter Rombold was responsible for the artistic direction. The altar, designed by the sculptor Karl Prantl with a soft, moving surface did not initially meet with the approval of the episcopal ordinariate. Only after the altar was covered with a flat plate was it consecrated by the bishop. This cover plate could be removed in 1995.
