history

As early as 1467, a papal decree mentioned a St. Margaret's Chapel in Lembach. Today's Baroque parish church was rebuilt or rebuilt after a fire in 1688. Fires in 1809 and 1876 caused severe damage to the nave vault and the tower and the interior. An extension to the south in a modern style according to plans by cathedral builder Gottfried Nobl took place between 1965 and 1966. The different construction phases resulted in an inconsistent church building. The last renovation of the church took place in 2007.

The concrete glass windows were designed by Lydia Roppolt , the tabernacle is by Franz Premetshofer .
