The Roman Catholic parish church Mötz is in the municipality of Mötz in the Imst district in Tyrol . The parish church Maria Schnee belongs to the deanery of Silz in the diocese of Innsbruck . The church and the cemetery are under monument protection .

history

In 1635 a plague chapel was built. From 1710 a new building took place and in 1713 the church was consecrated. Restorations were in 1872/1880 and 1976.

Church exterior

The baroque church with a nave and choir of the same width has a north tower with large sound openings with a roof extension with a lantern. The western front has a curved volute gable with volutes in stucco leaf, a circular window, a round arch portal and a brick canopy on profiled consoles with stucco leaf decoration. The wall painting Annunciation in a lunette shows the saints Martin, Rochus and Sebastian framed with stucco on the side.

Church interior

The four-bay hall building under a stitch cap barrel vault with belt arches on wall templates with pilasters has a choir with a five-eighth end and arched windows. High quality stucco work emphasizes the edges of the stitch caps, the belt arches, the medallions and the triumphal arch.

Furnishing

On the high altar is rich acanthus decoration from 1710.
