Parish Church of the Assumption in Mauerkirchen

The parish church of Mauerkirchen is located in Mauerkirchen in the market town of Mauerkirchen in Upper Austria . The Roman Catholic parish church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary belongs to the deanery Braunau in the diocese of Linz . The church and the former cemetery are under monument protection .

history

A church was mentioned in a document in 1272. The old, Gothic west tower, marked 1504, has been preserved with its basement. After a fire in 1865, the church was rebuilt in the neo-Gothic style from 1867 to 1872. The tower top from 1873 is neo-Gothic. There is a figural epitaph from 1598.
