The parish church of the Assumption of Mary is a Roman Catholic church in the district of Dorf in the municipality of Pettneu am Arlberg .

The late Gothic church building with a mighty north tower is surrounded by a cemetery. The existing core from the 2nd half of the 15th century, which was rebuilt from 1716 to 1717 and consecrated in 1721, is documented in 1385. On the outside, the nave has triangular struts, the retracted choir has a beveled base, a coffin cornice and corner pilasters with tracery gables. The tower on the north side of the choir has masonry from the 13th century and a painted corner ashlar and a bell storey set off by a cornice and a gabled spire, the windows and sound windows are pointed and round arched, partly coupled and partly with tracery. A Christopher paintings on the tower north wall painted in 1933 the painter Anton spit. The west portal has a shallow threefold valley and round bars, the pointed arch north portal is walled up. To the west is a baroque, barrel-vaulted vestibule with a gable roof and lateral arched entrances. In 1964 a sacristy was added to the south.

The baroque four-bay long house with a needle cap barrel has pillars with pilasters and entablature pieces and a two-storey west gallery. Behind a flat arched triumphal arch is the single-bay square choir with a 3/8 end, pilasters and pointed arch windows, the cross vault is clad in baroque style. In the nave there is a sparse vaulting with profile strips and picture medal framing and volute band above the triumphal arch, as well as a rococo cartridge with a clock. The baroque vault frescoed Coronation of the Virgin Mary , Visitation , Last Supper , the 12-year-old Jesus in the temple , the four evangelists , Saint Peter and Maria Magdalena were painted in 1759 by the painter Anton Kirchebner .

The high altar and the right side altar from the 3rd quarter of the 18th century come from the parish church in Bad Häring . The altarpieces of the Assumption and Baptism of Christ around 1760 are attributed to Johann Georg Witwer . A canvas picture of Christ on the Cross was painted by the painter Alois Grissemann in 1820. There is a baroque baptismal font with a carving of the Baptism of Christ from the 1st half of the 18th century, a pulpit from the 3rd quarter of the 18th century and station reliefs from the 2nd half of the 18th century.

Heinrich Reinhart cast two bells in 1611 . The organ was built by the Mayer brothers in 1902 .

At the entrance to the cemetery there are remains of a Gothic profiled vestment. There is a simple one-bay cemetery chapel with a three-sided end.
