Parish church of Stuben am Arlberg
The Roman Catholic parish church of Stuben am Arlberg is located in Stuben am Arlberg in the municipality of Klösterle in the Klostertal in Vorarlberg . The parish church of Our Lady of the Birth of Mary belongs to the dean's office Bludenz-Sonnenberg in the diocese of Feldkirch . The church and the cemetery are under monument protection .
history
The Klösterle branch has probably been a Lady Chapel since 1218. At the end of the 15th century, the construction of a church began and was consecrated in 1507 and made a parish church in 1666.
architecture
The church stands on a hill in the south of the village and is surrounded by a walled cemetery. The baroque nave from 1696 stands with the retracted Gothic choir from 1507 under a common gable roof. A school building is attached to the west of the nave. The north tower is on the nave.
Furnishing
The church has a popular altar. The tabernacle with lateral columns covered with vine leaves from the end of the 17th century has a crucifix from the 19th century on the door.
The organ was built by the Mayer brothers (1880).
