history
In 1255 there was a documented chapel. The parish has existed since 1260, probably initially with the establishment of a vicariate, which was mentioned in a document in 1362. The initially Gothic church building was changed several times in the Baroque period, from the middle of the 17th century the nave was rebuilt over medieval foundations, and in the middle of the 18th century the nave was extended by side chapels. In 1756 a benefit was named, in 1783 a pastor was named. The west tower is marked with 1905. During excavations (1993), wall sections in the east of the church were exposed, which are probably the foundations of a former octagonal karner.
architecture
The church, with its western tower, stands on sloping ground in a walled cemetery, the cemetery is supported in the curve of the road by a mighty embankment (1937).
Furnishing
The church has a rich baroque interior.
