coat of arms

AUT Zöbern COA.jpg

Blazon : "In a shield divided by blue and green by a slanting silver wavy bar, below a red flame-spewing silver dragon, pierced diagonally by a golden cross-lance"!

The Lower Austrian provincial government has given the municipality of Zöbern the right to use the municipal coat of arms described.

The coat of arms shows in a shield divided by a corrugated beam a dragon pierced by a cross lance as a symbol for St. Georg, the parish patron, and at the same time as a symbol for the victory of good over evil. The increased division and the green shield color should indicate the altitude of the community in the Wechsel area and the forest and livestock farming. The silver wave bar stands for the Zöbernbach and the place name.
