Rastatt nursing home
The Rastatt nursing home was a nursing home for patients with incurable diseases in Rastatt . It was located at Lützowerstraße 10 in the former garrison hospital of the Rastatt fortress .
When it was founded in June 1934, it was intended to permanently relieve the four constantly overcrowded Baden institutions of Emmendingen , Reichenau , Illenau and Wiesloch . Director was Arthur fright . On September 5, 1939, the psychiatric institution with 579 patients was moved to Zwiefalten . In 1940 the patients were transported to the Grafeneck killing center .
In 2013, memorial plaques were inaugurated.
