The Phenomena was a science exhibition. The spiritual father of the exhibition was Dr. hc Georg Müller. It took place for the first time from May 12 to October 23, 1984 in Zurich on the Zürichhorn and presented phenomena and puzzles of the environment.

Due to its success it was repeated in South Africa , Rotterdam , and Bietigheim-Bissingen . The exhibition attracted more than 5.4 million visitors worldwide. The event was organized by the Zurich Forum, which was founded and directed by Georg Müller. Other contributors were the ETH Zurich , the ETH Lausanne , the University of Zurich and others.

Among other things, there were crystals in polarized light , flow charts according to FF Runge , the squaring of the circle according to Kaspar Appenzeller, cymatics (Chladnis experiments), moon wall, gravitational lift, Chinese bamboo tower, color phenomena and a flying pianist.
