Pheidippus (son of Thessalus)

Pheidippos ( Greek  Φείδιππος ) is a figure in Greek mythology .

He was a son of Thessalus and grandson of Heracles . Together with his brother Antiphos he took part in the Trojan War . The two brothers commanded the 30 ships from the Sporades . After the end of the war they were sent to Epirus , where Pheidippos founded the city of Ephyra . According to another version of the myth, however, Pheidippus landed on the island of Cypros after great errands .
