Phil Kear

Phil Kear (born January 25, 1950 ) is a former New Zealand sprinter who specialized in the 400-meter run .

At the British Commonwealth Games in Christchurch in 1974, he was fifth in the 4 x 400 meter relay and reached the semi-finals in the individual competition.

He was five times New Zealand champion (1971-1974, 1976). He set his personal best of 46.90 on December 1, 1973 in Christchurch .
