Margot Binder

Margot Binder (born August 7, 1977 in Vienna ) is an Austrian actress .

Life

Margot Binder practiced rhythmic gymnastics during her school days from 1987 to 1994 and became Austrian student champion in the group in 1988/89, Austrian junior champion in 1990/91 and Austrian state champion in 1993 and took part in the European and world championships with the Austrian national team.

From 1998 she received acting lessons at the Vienna Film School. From 2000 to 2004 she studied drama at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz , graduating with a Magistra Artium . She then worked at the Phönix Theater in Linz until 2007 , where she was seen in the title role in Grillparzer's Medea , as Gretchen in Faust - Collateral Damage and in the title role of Franzobel's Lady Di - Queen of Hearts . In 2007 she moved to Berlin , where she played for example at the Theaterforum Kreuzberg, the Clubtheater Berlin, the Volksbühne Berlin and the Brotfabrik . In 2013 she returned to Vienna.

She made her film debut in 2002 in the motion picture Rocco by director Houchang Allahyari , and since then she has starred in a number of short films such as Jessi , You're Not An Unusual , Mind Cinema and So Far So Close . In 2016 she played the role of Geza in the four-part TV series Pregau - No way back .
