Phil Robertson
Phil Alexander Robertson (born April 24, 1946 in Vivian , Louisiana ) is an American hunter , entrepreneur (founder of the Duck Commander company), actor and one of the main characters of the reality TV show Duck Dynasty .
Life
In high school , Robertson played football , which enabled him to earn a scholarship to the University of Louisiana Tech . There he played as a quarterback and was looked after by Jimmy Johnson , among others . Later Robertson could have turned professional, but turned down the offer because he wanted to devote himself entirely to hunting. He openly supported Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz in his 2016 campaign.
