Philip Pardey
Philip Gordon Pardey (born January 21, 1953 in Adelaide ) is an Australian agricultural economist . He is a professor at the University of Minnesota .
Life
Pardey studied Agricultural Sciences ( Bachelor , 1975) and Economics (Bachelor, 1979) at the University of Adelaide. There he also received a master's degree in agricultural economics in 1979 . His Ph.D. was awarded to him in 1986 by the University of Minnesota. From 1984 to 1994 Pardey worked for the International Service for National Agricultural Research in The Hague and from 1994 to 2002 at IFPRI . He has been a professor in Minnesota since 2002.

Pardey's research areas include research and development funding, practice, and impact, as well as economic and political aspects of genetic resources and life sciences .
