Philipp Auer

Philipp Jacob Auer (born September 8, 1831 in Metzingen ; † March 7, 1912 there ) was a German politician.

After attending elementary school, Philipp Auer first learned the brewing trade, but then gave up training for health reasons and worked in agriculture. He also became an innkeeper and took over the Gasthaus Linde. He was known as a landlord in Metzingen.

Philipp Auer was a member of the Metzingen City Council for more than 40 years. In 1886 he was elected to the second chamber of the Württemberg state parliament, to which he belonged until 1895, in a substitute election in the Urach district of Upper Austria for the retired Georg Friedrich Lenz . Auer was close to the German party , but was not a member of that party.

family

Philipp Auer was the son of the baker Tobias Auer (1791–1864) and Maria Magdalena Auer born. Kostenbader (1790-1853) and had eleven siblings. In 1855 he married Christiane Schäfer and they had ten children.
