Philipp Fröhlich

Philipp Fröhlich (* 1975 in Schweinfurt ) is a German painter who lives and works in Brussels.

life and work

Fröhlich studied from 1996 to 2002 in Karl Kneidl's stage design class at the Düsseldorf Art Academy . During his studies he worked as his assistant on various theater and opera productions, among others at the Stadttheater Düsseldorf , the Hamburger Kammerspiele (with Peter Zadek ) and the State Theater Stuttgart .

From 2002 to 2016 Fröhlich lived in Madrid, where he worked with the Soledad Lorenzo gallery until 2012. He is currently represented in Spain by the Juana de Aizpuru gallery.

His pictures have been shown at numerous exhibitions in Spain and abroad and can be found in museums and public collections such as the Museo Reina Sofía in Madrid, the MUSAC in León, the Museo Patio Herreriano in Valladolid or the Von der Heydt Museum in Wuppertal.
