Philipp Knoth

Philipp Knoth (born April 1, 1991 in Kiel ) is a former German American football player.

career

He practiced the sports of soccer , tennis and swimming , from 2010 he devoted himself to American football. In the run-up to the 2012 game year, Knoth made the leap into the Bundesliga squad of the Kiel Baltic Hurricanes , previously he had played in the second men's team of the Fördestädter. Like his half-brother Christopher Rieck , the 1.90 meter tall and 125 kilogram weighing Knoth was used in defense.

In 2014 and 2015 he won the title in the European Football League (EFL) with Kiel . In 2017 he retired from Kiel's Bundesliga team, for the 2020 season he became a member of the coaching staff and took over the management of the defensive line with Tim Egdmann .
