Philipp Ruff
Philipp Ruff (born April 10, 1907 ; † November 21, 1980 in Vienna ) was an Austrian music critic , musicologist and journalist .
Philipp Ruff studied law and musicology with Robert Lach (Dr. phil. 1929) at the University of Vienna . From 1945 he worked as a music critic for the Arbeiter-Zeitung in Vienna, distinguished himself through his correct and objective reports and earned great merits. Ruff was also a tax advisor and played the violin .
His honorary grave is located in the Vienna Central Cemetery (Gr. 34, R. 13, No. 56)
