Philipp Wiemer

Philipp Wiemer (born January 17, 1849 in Nuremberg ; † December 9, 1924 there ) was a German social democratic politician.

Life

He attended elementary school in Nuremberg and the village school in Ginsheim . He learned to be a locksmith for one year and a blacksmith for three years. Later he turned to mechanical engineering and worked mainly as a model fitter.

Because he had been reprimanded for his social democratic views, he worked full-time for party-affiliated printers from 1875. At times he was also a cigar dealer and owner of a trimmings shop. Between 1890 and 1910 he was the full-time treasurer of the "Frauenstift" in Nuremberg. He then retired.

He ran for the Reichstag several times . He was a member of parliament between 1884 and 1887. Between 1875 and 1894 he took part in social democratic party conferences several times.
