Philippe Dupuy (born December 15, 1960 in Sainte-Adresse ) is a French comic author and illustrator , who works mainly with Charles Berbérian .

Career

After completing his studies, Philippe Dupuy published his comics in fanzines before starting a collaboration with Charles Berberian in 1983, which has resulted in around 25 albums to date. They published in France with various publishers, including L'Association , Éditions Cornélius and Les Humanoïdes Associés .

The collaboration takes place without any specific separation of duties. Both work on the drawings as well as scenarios without any discernible change in style. Her works have autobiographical traits, but mix real experiences with inventions to tell realistic stories.

Her best-known work is the series about Monsieur Jean , an unsuccessful writer whose life and experiences in Paris are portrayed.

Awards

At the 35th Angoulême International Comics Festival , he and Charles Berberian received the Grand Prix de la Ville d'Angoulême .
