The Philippi Glacier is a glacier at the southeastern end of South Georgia . It flows east to Brandt Cove in Drygalski Fjord .
Participants in the Second German Antarctic Expedition (1911–1912) under the direction of Wilhelm Filchner mapped him. Filchner named it after the German geologist Emil Philippi (1871-1910), a member of the Gauss expedition (1901-1903) under the direction of Erich von Drygalski .
