Phillip Langshaw

Phillip Langshaw (* in Sydney , Australia ) is a bass-baritone singer and professor.

Life

Langshaw was born in Sydney, Australia. He completed his extensive musical studies in Australia, Germany and Switzerland. In 1972 he came to Cologne on a scholarship at the Musikhochschule , where he studied oratorios and lied with Heinz Marten . Numerous commitments to festivals and concerts in Europe, Asia and Australia made him a respected interpreter of his vocal genre. His repertoire includes literature from early baroque to modern.

Phillip Langshaw was a professor of singing at the Cologne University of Music (now Cologne University of Music and Dance ). His interpretations were documented through recordings for radio, television and record.
