The Philosophische Literaturanzeiger (PhLA) is a scientific journal for philosophy . It was founded in 1948 by Georgi Schischkoff , who had founded the journal for philosophical research two years earlier . The Philosophische Literaturanzeiger was conceived as a predominantly reporting "unit of presentation for the new publications in philosophy and all of its border areas"; H. in it are reviews published that teach the reader "through extensive content depth talks" about the new publications in philosophy.

The first issue of the newly founded magazine came out in autumn 1949. The following issues appeared about two months apart, so that the first year was complete in autumn 1950. While the magazine was self-published by the editors in the first few years, the publishing support was provided between 1953 and 1961 by the publishers Ernst Reinhardt, Anton Hain and Frommann-Holzboog , and since 1962 by the Anton Hain Verlag . In 1989 the Vittorio Klostermann publishing house took over the magazine.

The editing is currently headed by Stephan Nachtsheim at the Philosophical Institute of RWTH Aachen University .
