The Anton Hain Verlag was a German publisher.

history

The publishing house was founded in 1946 by Anton Hain in Meisenheim am Glan - at that time located in the French occupation zone - under the name Westkulturverlag Anton Hain as a sole proprietorship . In 1955 it was converted into a limited partnership (KG) under the name Verlag Anton Hain KG. The shareholders were Dieter Hain (son of the founder), Franz Löffelholz and Michael Aloys Schillo. In 1978 the partners converted the KG into the legal form of a GmbH and then merged with the Athenäum Verlag . Axel Rütters became managing director . When the Athenäum Verlag went bankrupt in 1982, Anton Hain Verlag also had to be liquidated .

From the beginning, the focus of the program was on the fields of philosophy , economics , psychology , politics , sociology , literary studies and linguistics . The philosopher Georgi Schischkoff worked for the publishing house as editor of the monographs on philosophical research.
